Dr. Ernest McCallum was born and raised in Greenwood, SC. He attended Lander University and was accepted to the University of Maryland Dental School in 1988. He graduated with honors in removable prosthetics, a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthetic Honor Society, and Who’s Who among American Colleges and Universities. After dental school Dr. Ernest moved to Pittsburgh and completed a one-year General Practice residency. Then on to New York City, to complete his Orthodontic training at Columbia University. Dr. Ernest volunteers his services with the United Ministries free medical/dental clinic, and Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. He met his wife, Kathryn, a Speech and Language Pathologist, in New York and in 1995, they married and moved back to Greenwood. They have three children, a boy and two girls. Outside of the office, Dr. Ernest enjoys mountain bike riding, water skiing, and antique car restoration. Unlike most Orthodontists, he is not an avid golfer!
